Christopher 'Big Black' Boykin Of 'Rob & Big' Dead At 45

It is very sad news that today Christopher "Big Black" Boykin has passed away. Christopher was 45 years old and a father and husband. He was best known for his role in MTV's TV series "Rob & Big"" in which he played Rob Dyrdek's partner in crime. The duo did everything from buying a mini pet horse to buying tons of lottery tickets and more. They warmed the hearts of millions from 2006 to 2008 and then after rekindling his friendship with Rob he came to Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory in 2011. 

Cristopher had aspirations as well outside of his life on TV.  He set two world records. One was for peeling and eating 3 bananas in 1 minute and the other for eating the most powdered doughnuts in less than three minutes. He managed to eat 5 in 2 minutes and 45 seconds. At one point in his career, Boyken and the President got into a tiff. “She said, ‘I have a problem with “Rob & Big Black,” the name. I don’t think everybody is going to be able to understand that considering the climate that we’re in now,’” Boykin said. “Rob laughed. Instantly, I got offended.”After telling her that he would call up famous black celebrities like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to see if they were offended by the title, the show was almost put on the chopping block.: We almost didn’t get the show because I got into it with the president of MTV,” Boykin stated. “She ended up winning, changing it.”. 


Christopher married his longtime girlfriend in 2008 Shannon Boykin. The couple has a 9-year-old daughter Isis Boyken as well. He will truly be missed. His cause of death is currently unknown but it is being cited that it may have been a heart attack.
