George Michael Dies at 53 
George Michael has passed away at the age of 53. George first emerged as a teenager with hit's like
"Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" and many others. During his career, he was a teenage heartthrob. Woman all over the world fell for George for many years. Later in his career, he finally admitted he was attracted to men. George Michael sold over 1,000,000 albums in his music career, reaching fans all over the world. His 1987 Solo"Faith" sold more than 20,000,000 copies as well. George was a beloved disco/pop/dance-pop artist.

In 1988 George Micheal had embarked on his first world tour. Through this tour, he had performed with Aretha Franklin and that night was the second highest gross performance bringing in $17.7 Million dollars.  In 1989 his single " Faith won the Grammy for "Album of the year". George Michael then went on to release "Listen Without Prejudice" in 1990. His ultimate goal with the album was to be taken more serious as an artist and songwriter. It went on to hit US billboards " Top 100 Hit's".

In October of 1990 his album had been released in Europe and it hit #1 on UK charts. Michael's had done it again. Then in 1993 Michaels released " Five Live". All of the money earned from this album was put towards the " Mercury Phoenix Trust" . Five Live reached #1 on UK charts and #30 ou US Billboards top 100. Again George Michael managed another success. By this time questions about his sexuality had been answered and Michales was openly dating men. 


George emerged again in 1994 at the European MTV awards where he performed "Jesus To A Child" a song written for his lover Anselmo Feleppa who had passed in 1993 of HIV-related symptoms. His second single from that time period was released in April of 1996 "Fast Love" which was a very fun and energetic track. He had finally gotten to the point in his musical journey where he could release what he wanted.

In 1998 he Ladies & Gentlemen: The Best of George Michael was released. This was a combination of his hit's and singles over the past 11 years. George The album peaked at #1 on the charts in the UK for 8 weeks and was certified 7 times platinum in the UK and Multi - Platinum in the US.  Then in 1999 songs from the Last Century was released. This was a studio album of cover tracks. It would also become his only solo album not to reach #1 on a chart. This would come to be his last album with Virgin Records. 

In the year 2000 George worked on his hit single " If I Told You That" which was Co-produced with Rodney Jerkins. Then in October of 2011 George canceled a performance at  Londons Royal Abbot hall due to chest pain and discomfort. It was later confirmed he had fallen ill with Pneumonia and had it until December the 1st.  His health would continue to decline over the next few years. In 2016 his health took a major turn for the worse and Michales would live until Christmas 2016.

Michael's life came to an end December 25th, 2016. His manager stating he had passed away due to heart failure. His passing will be an early loss for the world. At only 53 Michael passed very young.
