ALLISON WEISS DEBUTS NEW SONG, “THE FALL,”
July 16, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA – Rising pop-rock performer Allison Weiss has returned with yet another catchy single from her forthcoming, breakout summer EP, Remember When, which is due out July 22nd via No Sleep Records. Today, the indie-darling has partnered with EW.com to premiere her new track, “The Fall.” Fans are also invited to pre-order the album at iTunes and pick up a limited edition 12” vinyl record from No Sleep Records at https://nosleeprecords.com/product/7228
“I
re-wrote the lyrics for this song at the very last minute,” Weiss tells
EW.com. “I had a whole other chorus worked out but it just didn't feel
right, so I went upstairs (we made the record in my house) and I locked
myself in my room until I figured it out. I wanted to write about coming
to terms with reality. It's such a weird emotion to experience when you
first find out that something great can end. My mom calls this my
'Taylor Swift Song' which I guess makes sense if you consider it's from
the perspective of someone who's growing up and realizing that love
isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Though I'm pretty sure she just means
the lyric about the back porch.”
It’s
been a busy year for Weiss! Her meteoric rise to pop-rock stardom began
in early 2013 with the release of her critically heralded album Say What You Mean.
Since then she’s been touring relentlessly, including two European runs
and multiple U.S. tours, and amassing a legion of fans along the way.
Now, a little more than a year later she’s returned with what many are
saying is her best release yet, Remember When.
