Formed
in 2012, Being As An Ocean hails from Alpine, CA, just outside of San
Diego. Signed to InVogue Records, the band released their first
full-length album, Dear G-d..., in late 2012. Since its release,
they've toured the world non-stop with bands like August Burns Red,
Senses Fail, For The Fallen Dreams, Hundredth, Counterparts, Liferuiner,
The Elijah among others, including multiple tours in the U.S., Europe,
Australia and Canada; amassing an army of fans along the way.
Now only two years after forming, Being As An Ocean returns with a bold new album, How We Both Wondrously Perish
that will push the boundaries of melodic-rock and cement them as one of
the scene’s most notorious bands. The album features ten cathartic
tracks that are uniquely balanced with heavy riffs and melodic vocal,
including “L’exquisite douleur,” which the band’s guitarist Tyler Ross
says “is the French term for the pain of loving somebody you can never
have," and the massive, crushing song “Death's Great Black Wing Scrapes The Air.”
The
band will be hitting the road again in May for a week of dates in the
U.S. before heading to Australia for a tour with In Hearts Wake and
Dream on Dreamer, which will be followed by a run of shows in Europe.
